Independence Day

A big happy 4th of July to all of you out there.  Stay safe tonight and enjoy the festivities with family and friends.

Independence Day, commonly known as the Fourth of July, is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain. (source wikipedia)

It’s our first of many 4th of July celebrations in our new country and we are looking very much forward to spending this day with people we’ve met and are yet to meet.

We are planning on cruising around the hood most of the day, catch a few local celebrations, a bit of shopping and might even stay awake for the fireworks this evening.

What are your plans?
