Christmas Song #17: Baby It’s Cold Outside

Song #17 of #25

Another ‘illegal’ and frowned upon Christmas tune, but heck, let’s live life on the wild side, be rebels and listen to these classics.

The song is about a woman inside a man’s home, and she says it’s time to go home.  The man tries convincing her to stay by saying it’s cold outside.

For each reason she gives to leave, he tells her it’s too cold, or he somehow blames the weather as to why she should stay.

I just think it’s a cute love song, which has been performed by many great artists over the last many decades since it was written and performed in 1944.  Frank Loesser wrote the song for him and his wife to sing at Christmas parties.

This list includes Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., and Carmen McRae, Lady Gaga and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michael Buble and Idina Menzel, Bing Crosby and Doris Day, as well as many others.

It fits great with today’s super cold weather.  Stay warm out there … cause baby, it’s cold outside   LOL
