I want to share and introduce an awesome young talent that I recently came across while listening to my favorite podcast by MeatEater. A few days later, I bought his albums on iTunes to add to our extensive music collection.
Please welcome Taylor McCall! A polite and down to earth musician who loves to hunt and fish.
It is not often that I find a new artist where I say, “holy shit, this guy is awesome!”. Granted, it has happened a fair bit lately. But this kid is seriously talented and has a great style. His voice is deep and clear. His lyrics are deep and tells stories.
When I say kid, he’s only 22 years old. He recently signed a major Publishing and Artist Development deal with BMG Nashville, one of the world’s largest and most influential music business entities.
Taylor McCall has written over 80 songs in the past two years. He finds inspiration in many areas, even from book titles, and then his creativity kicks off. It’s country music, with a bluegrass twist. Perhaps not the best description, but the lyrics tell stories about real life and history.
I admire people this talented and wish him the very best of luck in the future. I do not doubt that he will do great, especially since moving to Nashville.
