Christmas Song #11: Fairytale of New York

Probably one of the scarier and yet natural-looking singers of the modern age, with Share MacGowan from the Pogues singing this tune mostly like half or completely drunk.  He’s joined by the very talented Kirsty MacColl.

Despite his dental issues, and perhaps a slight addiction to alcohol, Shane was (and is) a great singer, and they have been around for decades.

This song became an instant classic and can be heard all over the world during Christmas.

It’s not Christmas unless your family is drunk and killing each other while this song plays in the background. The most Irish Christmas song ever!
