Many fo my Danish brothers and sisters will vividly remember this song and the show where it originated.

In short, in Denmark, the TV stations air a Christmas calendar show, where one new episode is shown every day until Christmas, from 1-24 December.

It’s a fantastic concept, and it all has the aim of restoring the Christmas spirit.

The storylines are all the same – something strange has happened to the Christmas spirit, and the main characters need to fix it in time for 24 December, to safeguard Christmas and the arrival of Santa.

The ‘Julekalender’ show was an extremely funny show, with Santa’s helpers speaking a mix of German, Danish and English.  Mostly Danish, with some German or English words thrown in, hence you get this interesting song.
