It’s now almost a year since our lives were turned upside down as I faced the end of his life. Mortality became too close.
A year ago, out of nowhere, I was diagnosed with heart failure. I suffered LVVB and my EF was less than 10%. There were no underlying causes for this heart failure.
Thankfully, we received the blessed gift of a restored LVVB and EF increasing daily – something that the cardiologists told us was an extremely rare occurrence. A true miracle for our family!
Yet, I still haven’t fully recovered.
I had to change my lifestyle, manage my stress levels, no red meat, reduce bread intake, no cakes, limit fatty foods (dairy), and eliminate salt intake.
I will most likely have to stay this way for the rest of my life, which is not bad 🙂
To mark the one year anniversary, my family and I will be joining the Oct 6 Heart Walk to raise awareness, promote healthier lives and raise funds for research, to help keep our hearts beating, through the American Heart Association.
My dear wife signed us up to participate and her goal is to raise $500.
